Walking Tour São Lourenço - Chaves
The short distance walking trail “Trilho de Moinhos de São Lourenço” goes towards Cela village, passing through Nossa Senhora das Neves Church, and continues to São Lourenço viewpoint, from where you can see the whole valley where Chaves city was built.
It then goes down to the Moinhos de São Lourenço walkways, a set of artificial wooden structures which allow you to safely walk about 100 meters of the banks of a water line, which was once a source of driving power for watermills, now in ruins.
In this trail it is possible to marvel a truly unique landscape, where waterfalls, forms of erosion caused by water and riparian vegetation, stand out.
