For the fourth consecutive year, PORTUGALNTN renews the “Sustainability Engaged” seal as a Turismo 360° Company

The “Sustainability Engaged” seal, awarded under the Turismo 360° Company framework, reflects PORTUGALNTN’s commitment and active engagement in environmentally responsible practices.

The award ceremony took place this Wednesday at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon and was attended by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Trade and Services, Pedro Machado, and the President of Turismo de Portugal, Carlos Abade. Once again, PORTUGALNTN received the “Sustainability Engaged” seal, which recognises companies that have already produced sustainability reports using the Tourism Sustainability Organisational and Reporting Tool (FOREST).

This tool enables the automation of data collection, management and reporting related to ESG metrics, the generation of a sustainability report tailored to the tourism sector and aligned with global standards, as well as the capture and aggregation of business intelligence data that allows for the comparability of information.

This recognition is part of the Turismo 360° Companies Programme, and the awarding of the “Sustainability Engaged” seal highlights the commitment of companies to integrating environmental, social and governance measures, reported through the Tourism Sustainability Organisational and Reporting Tool (FOREST). This platform makes it possible to identify progress and improve the sustainable performance of tourism activities.

This certification in ESG practices and reporting on the FOREST platform represents, above all, the continuation of the company’s commitment to contributing to responsible and sustainable tourism, ensuring the appropriate use of environmental resources, respecting the socio-cultural authenticity of communities, and guaranteeing that economic activities remain viable in the long term.

The Turismo 360° Companies Programme aims to encourage responsible practices across the environmental, social and governance pillars, enhancing access to financing, efficiency gains and stronger economic performance. This initiative is part of Turismo de Portugal’s strategic priorities to position the country among the world’s most competitive and sustainable tourism destinations.
